I’m captivated by 12th-century Spain, where Christian, Jewish, and Muslim cultures converged and created something extraordinary. The story always comes first, grounded in deep research—medieval medicine, royal politics, and the winding streets of Toledo. Each book includes a brief glossary of people, customs, and terms to illuminate the world behind the mystery.
When I'm not writing, I'm testing medieval herbal remedies or walking my grand-dog, Laurie.
